About us

Les Enfants Nursery

Established in 1991

Les Enfants Private Nursery is set in a beautiful Victorian building. Catering for local busy working families we offer parents flexibility and peace of mind while they make their commute to work. Within the extensive gardens, the children access varied play equipment and have fun in the undercover area on those unavoidable rainy days! The well-planned and stimulating environment, combined with quality resources, helps to ensure that children are provided with an educational programme that has depth and breadth across the curriculum.

We welcome you to visit us and see us in action.

Meet the management

“Les Enfants allowed us to be a part of a very passionate and caring team and to provide excellence in child care in a unique environment.”

We have since worked to modify and renovate the nursery, to make it an even more stimulating environment for the children, offering more opportunities for continuous provision. We are very proud of our staff who are motivated, enthusiastic and have an endless commitment to the children. Every child is unique and at Les Enfants we believe in respecting their individuality while ensuring all round development in all areas of EYFS.

Our Principles

We maintain the same principals in all our nurseries, making our decisions to ensure we have:

Happy and Healthy Children

Relaxed and Reassured Parents

Motivated and Enthusiastic Staff

Nursery Manager

“I am extremely passionate about Les Enfants and its future. Les Enfants is, and always will be a happy, safe place where each and every child is known, valued and appreciated, and their needs acknowledged, accepted and met. We promote high standards of childcare practice, and staff enthusiasm for continued professional development. Together, we will continue to provide a safe, loving, engaging, respectful and nurturing environment for your child to explore and play in. We work with parents, children and staff to ensure continued progress and involvement, building a strong partnership with the community.”

Ofsted

We are registered with Ofsted (EY343942) and were graded as ‘Good’ in our last inspection.

The report included the following observations:

“Staff are excellent role models. Their cheery nature and keenness to help and support children shines through. For example, they shower children with praise and encouragement and are always on hand to give a reassuring cuddle when needed. As a result, children are kind and thoughtful and are willing to have a go and do things for themselves.”

“Leaders have constructed a balanced and sequenced curriculum. This takes good account of what they know about children’s current learning and skills. It is also designed to help children acquire new learning and be well prepared for future learning and school. Furthermore, the curriculum focuses on helping children encounter wider experiences that complement their learning and support their wider understanding.”

“Staff provide lots of opportunities for children to develop their large and small physical skills. For example, babies explore the texture of damp sand with their hands. Toddlers take part in a music and movements session where they copy the actions of staff. Pre-school children relish the opportunity to play in the snow. They excitedly slide down a slope with the staff and make marks in the ice with their fingers and sticks.”
